The Ethiopian Government has decided to allow church-run relief agencies deliver food and aid to a rebel-held northern province where one million people are threatened with starvation. 

Although when the relief operations begin is still unknown.

 

Relief agencies believe there could be 2-5 million people in northern Ethiopia facing starvation after a drought had wiped out the previous year’s crops.
