Communication Standards Exercises
Read the two exercises below, and then, in the Brainstorming Forum below, comment on how these exercises foster the communication standards. If you don't want to brainstorm, go directly to the Hints, and then to the exercises for other standards.
Option A
Students are provided with
the URLs of 3 or 4 sites with information about WW II.
Their assignment:
Pick the site that you find most informative as supplementary information about Draußen vor der Tür. Explain why that site it most informative: e.g., what you learned from that particular site that helped you.
Communication Standards Exercise:
Option B
Students have a list serve or on-line activity. They are given two texts on the web (two brief excerpts from the play) to discuss in conference. They must be able to answer questions about content and connections/comparisons between the two.
